At aprox. 2:45pm stations 39, 37, 34 were dispatched to the Appalachian trail for a hiker who's dog was in distress. Crews entered along the trail using 39UTV1 and were able to meet the hiker on the trail and assist with extricating the dog off the trail.

While used less frequently, station 39 is proud to carry specialty oxygen masks for pets on our Quick Response Unit. These masks are used when an animal or pet maybe experiencing breathing issues to help provide better O2 flow.
